Reproduction of power supplies

The power supplies of a wind power plant create failures again and again in the past. Usually, the boards can be repaired by IBU. In some cases the boards are damaged too bad for repair. For example by overloading or lightning damage. Furthermore, some revisions of the power supply are equipped with obsolete components. It is impossible to find these parts or the parts are so expensive that the exchange is no longer worth.

The customer chooses the replica of the board in a small series. IBU analyzed the board because no wiring diagram is available. After the new layout was created, the board has been produced and tested.

2. Obsolete components are equipped with replacement models
3. The board is designed as far as possible with SMD components
4. Larger traces and ground planes prevent overheating
5. A new dimensioning of the capacitors promises longer life
