Development of driver software for a multimedia pendant lamp.

IBU developed together with the company Medion AG parts of a software for a multimedia pendant lamp. The development was a product study.
A pendant light together with a video projector, a computer and a 3D camera should turn a dining table to a multimedia interface.

After experimenting with different cameras and projectors, the new Intel Real Sense camera SR300 was used. It is a 3D camera consisting of a HD color camera, an infrared camera and an infrared laser projector.
The camera captures a hand above the table and positions the cursor of the Windows system above the fingertip. Touches the hand the table, a click event is triggered. So a virtual touch interface is created on the table.
